As a teacher trained in Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga, I can offer you privatetuition in either style, but my preference these days is SLOW yoga.
What is Slow Yoga?
Slow, mindful movements with body awareness. Aimed to ease the body into gentle and soft movement with a focus on each breath.
Slow yoga suits older students with a limited range of movement. Slow yoga is ideal for those recovering from illness or injury. And is especially beneficial for those with depression, fatigue or chronic pain.
Slow yoga is about the soothing nervous system. In this fast paced, busy, speed focussed world, slowness is a luxury - and a necessity. Slowness is a whole way of being, thinking and doing. A conscious approach to living your life in every moment, with awareness and care.
I believe the most effective way to receive the real benefits from Private Yoga is to offer Private Yoga Packages. This means continuity, commitment and quality connection from me as the teacher, but also from you, as the student. Together we can work on certain areas or issues over time, rather than just one sixty minute session.

"THE ART OF SLOW"
Our private session starts with a thirty minute intake process. This is a series of questions related to your overall health, lifestyle, beliefs and general well being. This helps me understand where you are in all aspects of your life, to enable me to plan the best yogic practices to achieve your required outcome. We will then flow through some slow yoga movements and poses, with explanation and discussion of each. There are certain slow yoga movements designed for specific conditions so we can explore all options together. Meditation is an important part of the slow philosophy. I will introduce you to a short, easy meditation practice that can be built on over time. Slow and mindful practices for everyday living will be explored and a written report of all postures and practices will be given. This is homework! Your take away to practice and embrace into your life, in a slow manner of course.
"MORE OF THE ART OF SLOW"
Following on from the first three sessions, "More of the Art of Slow" is just that. The next four one hour sessions are for full immersion into the way of slowness, mindfulness and a less busy life. These sessions are designed to instil the slow yoga principles into your body and memory, so slow becomes part of your Being. We can extend the meditation to include visualisation and affirmation practices to deepen awareness and consciousness. Restorative yoga postures will be included in these four sessions. A sure fire way to slow down body and mind, with breathing techniques and surrender to stillness. A deeply nourishing practice to allow total release, in a safe and supported way. All postures and meditations will be recorded for your take home benefit, so you can keep practising long after our sessions are done.
For the full relaxing experience add Reiki treatment to your sessions, optional extra at an additional cost.
I am an experienced Corporate Yoga teacher and love to share the benefits of yoga to all stressed out corporates. I have held yoga classes in my former workplace, and I now hold a regular weekly class in a Maroochydore workplace.
